Absolutely — but visit in May/June or September. July–August crowds in the Old City can be overwhelming. Early morning and evening are always quieter regardless of season.
Jadrolinija and Krilo ferries connect Split, Hvar, Korčula, Vis, and Dubrovnik. Book in advance in summer. A 7-day island-hop from Split to Dubrovnik is one of Europe's great travel itineraries.
