All visitors must pay a National Park entrance fee (approximately $100 USD). You must travel with a licensed naturalist guide inside the protected areas. Most visitors book a cruise or guided island-hop.
Fly from Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE) to Baltra (GPS) or San Cristóbal (SCY) — about 2-3 hours flying. There are no sea routes for tourists.
White-water rafting on the Pastaza River, the swing at the end of the world (Casa del Árbol), and cycling the waterfall route (Ruta de las Cascadas) are all exceptional. Baños is an excellent adventure base.
