🇰🇭 Cambodia eSIM
Cambodia is dominated by Angkor — the greatest archaeological complex in Southeast Asia, spread across 400km² of jungle north of Siem Reap, where the towers of Angkor Wat, the enigmatic stone faces of Bayon, and the forest-strangled ruins of Ta Prohm create an experience that stops every traveller in their tracks. But Cambodia is far more than Angkor: Phnom Penh is a rapidly evolving capital with extraordinary French colonial architecture, a heartbreaking history at the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng, and a food scene that has blossomed. The south coast (Kep, Kampot, Koh Rong) offers untouched beaches at honest prices. The Cambodian people, who endured one of the 20th century's worst genocides, are remarkable in their resilience and warmth.

Frequently asked questions
At minimum 2 days; 3 days gives you time to cover the major temples without rushing. The Grand Circuit (all major temples) plus a sunrise at Angkor Wat is the classic combination.
Download an offline map of Angkor before you arrive — the complex covers 400km² and navigation between temples is much easier with offline GPS.
Siem Reap and Phnom Penh are generally safe with normal precautions. Avoid unlit areas late at night; bag snatching on motorbikes can occur. The south coast towns (Kampot, Kep) are very relaxed and safe.
Sunrise is the classic experience — the reflection of the towers in the moat in the early morning light is genuinely one of the world's great sights. Arrive before dawn; crowds build fast.
